The Chatterband came together in different segments. The music that we play is definitely upbeat and cheerful. We also do the ballads that make the people dance.
We keep our audience engaged by being real. Putting on an honest show that speaks of good feelings. We look directly at the audience and perform to them not at them. By watching the audience you can tell if you are doing the right thing.
Chatterband has enough musical material to make sure that the music we play remains true to its own sound while we go through our own antics. I guess the rule to this being, have all the fun you want while you’re playing, but keep the integrity of the song you are playing. That is exactly what we do to each genre of our repertoire.
